The n8n SearchCans Web Research Pack (Manual Google Search) lets you run a Google web search on demand, extract the top results as clean Markdown via SearchCans, and output a structured, citation-ready research pack (JSON + Markdown report) with source URLs and excerpts.

What this workflow does

• Runs manually: start it via the Manual Trigger in n8n.
• Sets research parameters: define query, country, language, and maxSources (the template is set to extract up to two unique sources).
• Searches Google through SearchCans: sends the query to the SearchCans Search API and retrieves organic results.
• Selects up to two unique result URLs from the organic list.
• Extracts page content: calls the SearchCans Reader API for each selected URL and converts the content to clean Markdown.
• Compiles results: returns a citation-ready Markdown research pack, plus source metadata—capturing both successful extractions and any failures.

Technical details

• Integrations: SearchCans Search API (Google organic results) + SearchCans Reader API (page extraction).
• Auth: use an n8n HTTP Header Auth credential with Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SEARCHCANS_API_KEY, attached to both HTTP Request steps.
• n8n nodes (as provided): Manual Trigger, Set, Code, Sticky Note, and HTTP Request nodes.
