Turn Shopify abandoned checkouts into recovered sales—automatically

This n8n workflow automatically rechecks open Shopify abandoned checkouts and generates a personalized Zvid product video to help recover conversions. It waits for your recovery delay, verifies inventory and abandonment freshness, and can optionally email the customer a recovery link (while preventing duplicate follow-ups).

What this workflow does

• Runs on demand or on a schedule (every 15 minutes), using the included safe fixture for testing or querying Shopify Admin GraphQL for open abandoned checkouts.
• Selects an eligible checkout, then locks its Shopify checkout ID to prevent overlapping executions from processing the same checkout twice.
• Waits the configured recovery delay before sending anything.
• Rechecks Shopify before rendering to confirm no completed order or draft order exists, inventory is still available, the checkout hasn’t been superseded by a newer abandonment, and (when enabled) Shopify hasn’t already sent a recovery email.
• Builds a privacy-safe Zvid project from the shopper’s first name, up to three product titles with images and prices, plus the cart total—while excluding email, phone, and the private recovery URL.
• Validates the project and returns the exact credit quote for accuracy.
• Dry-run vs render: with dryRun enabled, it generates an editor draft and returns a preview link/quote without rendering an MP4; otherwise it renders via Zvid nodes and polls until completion or timeout.
• Optionally sends the recovery email to the Shopify checkout email with the recovery link and the prepared video.
