This n8n workflow automatically scores every new Shopify order for RTO (return-to-origin) and COD risk, using Google Sheets order history, Shiprocket serviceability, India Post pincode validation, and an OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini) JSON risk review. It then tags or holds fulfillment in Shopify and routes decisions via WhatsApp, Gmail, and Slack (with decision webhooks) to streamline safe, proactive COD fulfillment.

What this workflow does

• Triggers on new Shopify orders and normalizes key fields (payment mode, phone, pincode, items), generating a one-time decision token.
• Reads Google Sheets history to check prior return/delivery patterns for the customer and retrieve pincode-based RTO risk.
• Validates logistics feasibility by checking Shiprocket for courier/COD serviceability and validating the destination pincode against India Post data—continuing even if lookups fail.
• Computes a rule-based risk score from address quality, history, pincode risk, and heuristics.
• Calls OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini) for a structured JSON risk opinion plus an address-fix suggestion, then blends rule + AI signals into a final score.
• Assigns a risk tier (low/medium/high), with hard flags that can force high risk.
• Logs every assessment to an “Order Risk Log” Google Sheets tab.
• Enforces outcomes in Shopify: low-risk orders get Shopify tags; medium/high-risk orders get fulfillment placed on hold and tagged.
• Routes actions: medium-risk confirmations via WhatsApp and Gmail, and high-risk decisions to Slack with Release/Cancel/Prepay options.
