What this workflow does

• Runs on a schedule every 6 hours using an n8n scheduling trigger.
• Reads your watchlist settings (tickers, lookback window, article count, and the target Slack channel) and splits comma-separated tickers into individual symbols.
• For each ticker, calls Webz.io news search to retrieve recent articles.
• Uses OpenAI GPT-4.1-mini to filter results and output a structured list of stories judged to be materially market-moving.
• Deduplicates alerts by URL by storing and checking a workflow-level URL history during active runs—so you don’t get repeated links.
• If there are new material stories, formats them grouped by ticker and event type and posts the alert message to Slack.
• If a news check fails for a ticker, it stops with a readable error message instead of silently skipping alerts.
