Get Telegram alerts when Gold (XAUUSD) or WTI oil (WTIUSD) move—automatically every 15 minutes

This n8n workflow pulls the latest Gold (XAUUSD) and WTI crude oil (WTIUSD) trade prices from the SiftingIO API, compares them to your configurable thresholds, and sends instant Telegram price alert messages to your chat.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a schedule: executes every 15 minutes using an n8n schedule trigger.
• Fetches live prices from SiftingIO: sends two SiftingIO HTTP requests to request the latest XAUUSD and WTIUSD trade prices.
• Waits for both responses: ensures both API results are available and extracts the numeric price values.
• Checks your thresholds: compares each price against configurable “above” and “below” limits.
• Supports test mode: when test mode is enabled, it generates test alerts instead of real threshold checks.
• Sends alerts to Telegram: posts an alert message for each triggered condition to your configured Telegram chat.

Technical details

• Schedule Trigger: runs every 15 minutes.
• HTTP Request (SiftingIO): uses an n8n HTTP Header Auth credential with header name X-API-Key and your SiftingIO API key.
• Code + Merge: extracts numeric prices and coordinates the two API responses.
• Telegram: sends alert messages to your Telegram chat (via Telegram credentials and a configured chat ID).
• Customization: adjust frequency, thresholds for Gold/WTI, and (in the threshold-checking code) enable/disable test mode.
