This n8n workflow monitors your Walmart and Target watchlist in Google Sheets hourly and sends real-time Slack alerts when items come back in stock or drop in price. It also logs every check and posts a weekly digest of the last 7 days.

What this workflow does

• Runs every hour on a schedule to read your product watchlist from a Google Sheets spreadsheet.
• Routes by retailer (Walmart vs. Target) and fetches the latest product availability and price using Scrapio.
• Detects changes by comparing current values (in-stock status and price) against the previous values stored in your watchlist.
• Sends Slack messages when:
  • a product is back in stock
  • a product’s price drops
• Logs results by appending each check to a Google Sheets history sheet and updating the watchlist row with the latest in-stock status and price.
• Runs weekly on a separate schedule to aggregate restocks and price drops from the history sheet for the last 7 days and posts a weekly Slack digest.

Technical details

• Google Sheets: watchlist input (retailer, product_id, title, last_in_stock, last_price) + history logging.
• Scrapio: fetches Walmart and Target product availability and price (requires a Scrapio credential and the Commerce add-on enabled).
• Slack: sends real-time alerts and the weekly summary digest.
• n8n logic: uses nodes such as if, set, code, merge, slack, and filter to compare states and format messages.
