This n8n workflow automatically checks your Google Sheets payment rows every day and sends WhatsApp Business Cloud API template reminders for upcoming, due, and overdue invoices. After each send attempt, it writes the outcome back to the same sheet so you always know what was (and wasn’t) delivered.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily at 09:00.
• Reads all rows from the payments sheet using the spreadsheet URL provided in workflow settings.
• Skips rows marked as paid, so only outstanding payments are considered.
• Validates due dates and phone numbers to avoid failed sends and incorrect targeting.
• Determines reminder timing based on configured day milestones:
  • Before the due date (upcoming reminder)
  • Due today (due reminder)
  • Overdue at specified intervals (overdue reminders)
• Sends WhatsApp template messages via the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, using variables for name, amount, and due date.
• Updates Google Sheets:
  • On success: writes last_reminder and a sent note.
  • On failure/validation issues: writes an error or validation reason into reminder_note.
