This n8n workflow watches for WordPress posts that move to Pending, runs them through Gemini with your house style, and sends an editor-ready review in Slack with a single Review action. If the post needs work, it’s returned to drafts and the author receives feedback by email.

What this workflow does

• Instant review trigger: A Review Request Webhook receives {"post_id": 123} the moment a post enters Pending (no schedule tuning needed). Header Auth keeps the endpoint private.
• Load the post + author: The workflow uses the WordPress API to Get Post (Pending posts aren’t public) and Get Author for the writer’s name and email.
• Validate requirements: A Code node checks what Settings requires—such as minimum word count, title presence, and whether a featured image and/or excerpt are required.
• Send for review or return early: Complete posts go to review; incomplete ones are returned to the author. If the post is no longer pending, it’s sent to Ignore Post.
• Gemini verdict with structured issues: Review Post sends the post plus your house style to the Gemini Chat Model and receives a verdict (ready vs needs work), a one-line summary, and up to five concrete issues validated against a JSON schema.
• Editor in Slack + clear actions: Ask Editor posts the summary, issues, and check. If Gemini fails, the workflow still proceeds, marking it for hand review.
