Auto-schedule multi-network social posts from your Google Sheets—every hour
This n8n workflow automatically reads your Google Sheets content calendar, finds posts marked as ready for the future, schedules them via SocialRobot to multiple social platforms, and then marks each row as done so it won’t be processed again.
What this workflow does
- Runs hourly using a scheduled trigger to keep your publishing pipeline up to date.
- Reads all rows from your Google Sheets content calendar.
- Filters for the right posts by keeping only rows where the ready field is set (e.g., yes/true/ready) and the scheduled date is in the future.
- Schedules the post through SocialRobot to: X (Twitter), Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, and LinkedIn, using the row’s caption and date fields.
- Updates the Google Sheets rows by setting ready to done, preventing duplicate scheduling.
Use cases
- Marketing teams maintain a centralized Google Sheets editorial calendar and want automated scheduling across networks.
- SaaS operators manage frequent social posting while minimizing manual copy/paste between platforms.
- Automation engineers want a reliable n8n automation workflow that uses clear “ready → done” state management in Sheets.
Technical details
- Trigger: Schedule Trigger (runs every hour)
- Data source: Google Sheets (OAuth2 credential)
- Workflow logic: Set, Code, Sticky Note (for mapping/filtering and preparing fields)
- Social publishing: SocialRobot community node (socialrobot-ion8n-nodes-socialrobotsocial robot) with a SocialRobot API credential and the correct SocialRobot account ID in each publish step
- Required sheet columns: date (ISO datetime), caption, and ready
Result: scheduled posts go out on time across X (Twitter), Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, and LinkedIn—while your Google Sheets stays clean and idempotent.
