Turn n8n GitHub Releases into Ready-to-Review WordPress Drafts (with Claude)

This n8n workflow automatically checks the latest n8n GitHub releases, uses Anthropic Claude to judge what’s newsworthy, and then generates Japanese HTML draft posts in WordPress—tracking every decision in Google Sheets. Optionally, it can also send a LINE broadcast with a direct edit link.

What this workflow does

  • Runs daily at 8:00 (Asia/Tokyo) and loads blog configuration values used for writing and linking.
  • Reads previously processed release tag names from Google Sheets.
  • Fetches the 10 most recent releases from the n8n GitHub repository.
  • Filters out releases that are already processed, non-version tags, drafts, and releases without a “Features” section; then keeps the three newest candidates.
  • Sends each candidate’s extracted feature notes to Anthropic Claude, parses Claude’s JSON decision, and determines whether it’s worth writing about.
  • If skipped: appends the release to Google Sheets with the reason so it won’t be rechecked.
  • If approved: asks Claude to generate a Japanese HTML blog draft, creates a WordPress draft post in your configured category, and logs the WordPress post ID to Google Sheets.
  • Optionally sends a LINE broadcast containing the draft title and a direct WordPress admin edit link.

Use cases

  • SaaS teams who want consistent release-note coverage without manual writing
  • n8n users and automation engineers publishing product updates in WordPress faster
  • Operations teams maintaining a “draft first” publishing workflow with review-ready posts
