This n8n workflow streamlines the full lien waiver lifecycle: it receives payment requests, creates payment IDs in Google Sheets, emails payees to upload the correct conditional or unconditional lien waivers, validates uploads, stores waiver files in Google Drive, and sends reminder emails until every required waiver is received.

What this workflow does

• Starts from an n8n Form payment request: it reads existing payment records from Google Sheets.
• Creates a new payment entry: generates a unique Payment ID in Google Sheets and sends Gmail requests to the payee and owner for the matching conditional waiver, including an upload link.
• Receives the signed waiver upload: an n8n Form collects the file, then the workflow validates waiver type and amount, and for progress payments it checks the through-date against the payment details in Google Sheets.
• Saves files + logs status: uploads the waiver to Google Drive, records details in a Google Sheets “Waivers” tab, updates payment status when applicable, and emails the owner (and payee if corrections are needed) via Gmail.
• Handles “marked paid” submissions: updates the payment as paid in Google Sheets (optionally requiring a conditional waiver first), then requests the unconditional waiver from the payee via Gmail.
• Runs daily to chase missing/overdue waivers: every morning it emails payees for missing conditional or overdue unconditional waivers, increments reminder counters in Google Sheets, and emails the owner a summary of payments on hold.
