This n8n workflow turns new project requests into real Grafana setup: it creates a dedicated Grafana team, generates a starter dashboard titled "<project> - Overview", and emails the requester direct Gmail confirmation links to both.

What this workflow does

• Captures requests via an n8n Form Trigger when someone submits a new project request.
• Builds the project context (project name, an optional team contact email, a standard dashboard title, and your Grafana base URL for link generation).
• Creates a Grafana team named after the project, including the provided team contact email when present.
• Creates a starter Grafana dashboard titled "<project> - Overview".
• Sends a confirmation message via Gmail to the requester with direct links to the newly created Grafana team and dashboard.

Setup requirements

• A Grafana instance reachable over the API
• A Grafana service account with Admin permissions (selected in both Grafana steps)
• A Gmail account credential for sending the email
• Update the Grafana base URL (e.g., https://your-stack.grafana.net) so links in the message are correct

Customization

You can swap the Gmail email step for a Slack message if that’s where your team communicates. You can also log each provisioned project to a spreadsheet for audit tracking.
