n8n Workflow: DuckDuckGo Topic Dossier HTML Generator

Generate a Source-Cited HTML Topic Dossier with DuckDuckGo in n8n

With the n8n Workflow: DuckDuckGo Topic Dossier HTML Generator, you enter a topic and get back one clean HTML file—an overview where each paragraph cites sources and includes verified quotes pulled from pages discovered via DuckDuckGo (optionally with news, videos, and pictures).

What this workflow does

• Collects your inputs via a form: the topic, plus whether to include videos and pictures (as links or with thumbnails).
• Plans targeted searches using an AI model: up to two web queries for the topic, plus separate requests for news recency and media.
• Searches the web with DuckDuckGo and returns candidate findings with quotes from discovered pages.
• Verifies evidence in code: it keeps a finding only if the quote appears in the page text returned by the tools, and continues until at least three points come from at least two sites.
• Enriches with additional research: DuckDuckGo searches news, videos, and images, adds an instant answer and search ideas, and uses short waits between searches.
• Writes the dossier from verified points: the second model produces the overview, and any paragraph with no source is dropped.
• Builds one HTML output: includes all text escaped and uses a style sheet accepted only as plain CSS with readable colours.

Use cases

• Create research dossiers for SaaS decisions (market, competitors, regulatory summaries) with citations.
• Generate topic briefs for internal teams using verified web quotes.
• Produce shareable HTML summaries that include news and media links with optional thumbnails.
