Turn a text prompt into an MP4 using emaki Seedance 2.5—inside n8n
This n8n workflow lets you paste a prompt into a form and automatically generate a finished MP4 video with emaki.ai’s Seedance 2.5. You choose the model, duration, and aspect ratio, optionally supply a first-frame image URL, and the workflow waits, checks the job status, and downloads the resulting clip.
What this workflow does
- Video request form: Collects your prompt, selects a model (seedance_2_5, seedance_2, seedance_2_fast, or seedance_2_mini), sets duration and aspect ratio, and accepts an optional first-frame image URL.
- Build request: Converts the form inputs into an emaki request payload at 480p.
-
Start video: Sends the request to
https://emaki.ai/api/video/aiusing your API key and receives a video id. - Error handling: If the request is refused, the workflow routes the error to an Explain refusal step (e.g., bad key, no credits, a video already running, or a blocked prompt).
-
Wait + status polling: Waits ~30 seconds, checks
/api/video/status, then:- completed: downloads the MP4
- failed: reports the failure code
- otherwise: loops back to continue checking
Use cases
- Build a simple prompt-to-video generator for your team using n8n forms.
- Generate short marketing or concept clips on demand, with consistent settings (model, aspect ratio, length).
- Automate video generation pipelines in a SaaS or internal tooling workflow, including clear failure responses.
- Turn a still image into a short clip by providing a public HTTPS image URL.
