n8n Workflow: Google Gemini Site Feasibility & Risk to Slack

Generate a Gemini-powered feasibility & risk report from a site location—and send it straight to Slack

This n8n workflow takes a site submitted via an n8n Form, verifies whether the coordinates are on land, pulls elevation and nearby protected-species data, enriches the location with US Census demographics, then uses Google Gemini to produce a structured feasibility & risk assessment—posting the final report to Slack.

What this workflow does

• Receives a site submission (name, latitude, longitude, radius) using an n8n Form trigger.
• Checks if the point is water using isitwater.com. If the location is water, it posts a rejection message to Slack.
• When on land: retrieves elevation from Open Topo Data and searches GBIF for nearby IUCN-listed threatened species within the specified radius.
• Fetches demographic context by geocoding to a US Census block group and pulling ACS 5-year estimates (including median household income and population) from the US Census API.
• Aggregates results into a single structured record with simple flags such as low-elevation flood risk and protected species counts.
• Uses Google Gemini (via an n8n LangChain chain) to produce a JSON-formatted risk score, verdict, summaries, and recommendation.
• Formats and posts to Slack as a Slack-friendly feasibility & risk report in your chosen channel.
