Turn Google Maps reviews into a daily, automated feedback pipeline—then alert your team in Slack
This n8n workflow fetches Google Maps reviews for a set of places via Scrapewise every day, appends each review to Google Sheets, and posts Slack alerts for any review that meets your configured “needs attention” star threshold.
What this workflow does
- Runs daily at 09:00 to keep your review tracking consistent.
- Starts a fresh Scrapewise “mapsreviews” scrape by sending the configured Google Maps place URLs (including the Google Maps data_id) for your dedicated Scrapewise group.
- Waits 2 minutes for Scrapewise to collect the review rows.
- Pulls collected reviews back from Scrapewise for the specified group.
- Normalizes the data into one item per review, extracting key fields such as stars, author, review text, and review ID.
- Flags low-rating reviews at or below your configured star threshold.
- Appends all reviews to Google Sheets in your chosen spreadsheet and worksheet (e.g., “Reviews”).
- Sends a Slack message per flagged review to the configured channel for rapid response.
Use cases
- Monitor storefront, venue, or service locations and ensure low-star Google Reviews are reviewed quickly.
- Maintain an audit-friendly Google Sheets log of author, stars, and review content over time.
- Give SaaS and operations teams an automated Slack alerts channel for reputational risk.
Technical details
- Scrapewise integration via HTTP calls using an n8n HTTP Bearer Auth credential (used in both Scrapewise MCP steps).
- Google Sheets OAuth connection to append reviews to the selected spreadsheet ID and worksheet name.
-
Slack OAuth connection to post alerts to a configured channel (e.g.,
#reviews). - Uses n8n nodes/steps including if, set, code, wait, slack, and sticky note.
