Run weekly churn-risk SMS campaigns from your Google Sheets—automatically

This n8n workflow analyzes Google Sheets attendance data, computes a 0–100 churn risk score, and uses Google Gemini to generate a personalized re-engagement SMS. Eligible members are messaged via Twilio, and every outreach is logged back to your Google Sheets—so you can turn churn signals into action without manual work.

What this workflow does

• Schedules weekly to keep your re-engagement outreach timely.
• Pulls all active members from the Google Sheets tab “Members”.
• Fetches each member’s attendance history from the Google Sheets tab “Attendance”.
• Calculates churn metrics: visits in the last 30 days vs. prior 30 days, attendance drop percentage, and days since the last visit—then derives a capped 0–100 churn risk score.
• Filters recipients to members with a churn signal and a risk score ≥ 60; others are skipped.
• Loads member details from “MemberProfiles” and sends profile + churn metrics to Google Gemini.
• Gemini returns:
  • a short internal diagnosis,
  • a ≤300-character SMS message,
  • an SMS eligibility flag.
• If eligible, sends the message via Twilio (SMS/MMS/WhatsApp).
• Appends outreach details (sent message, timestamp, member ID, risk score) to “OutreachLog”.

Technical details

• Google Sheets via n8n using a Service Account credential shared to the spreadsheet: “Gym Member Management & Outreach Tracker”.
• Google Gemini (Google PaLM) for chat-based SMS generation and eligibility flagging.
• Twilio node to send SMS/MMS/WhatsApp and track delivery execution.
• n8n workflow logic nodes: if, code, no op, limit, plus documentation notes via sticky note.
