This n8n workflow checks your Google Sheets renewals register daily, calculates time-to-expiry and notice deadlines, generates a tailored Google Gemini renewal briefing, then delivers the right urgency alert via Gmail and Slack—while updating the sheet to prevent duplicate reminders.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily at 08:00 using a schedule trigger.
• Reads the “Renewals” sheet from your Google Sheets workbook (e.g., Item, Type, Vendor, Expiry Date, Annual Cost, Owner email, Notice Period Days, Last Alert Stage).
• Calculates urgency windows based on days until expiry (90/30/7-day stages), and computes the notice-period deadline.
• Skips items already alerted at the same urgency stage using “Last Alert Stage”.
• Uses Google Gemini to draft a concise owner briefing including the decision required, deadline, next steps, and the appropriate urgency.
• Sends a Gmail alert to the item owner with a subject line that matches the urgency window.
• Posts urgent items to Slack in a selected channel with key details.
• Updates the Google Sheets row with the latest alert stage to avoid repeat alerts.
