Never lose a quote again: Google Sheets + Telegram follow-ups in n8n
This n8n workflow automatically checks your Google Sheets “Quotes” table every day and sends scheduled, stage-based quote follow-ups to customers via Telegram—then records each step back in your sheet and handles incoming replies.
What this workflow does
- Runs daily at 09:00 using a schedule trigger.
- Scans pending quotes from the “Quotes” tab in Google Sheets.
- Decides which follow-up stage is due (stage 1, 2, or 3) based on quote age and the last follow-up stage.
- Avoids duplicate sends by ensuring it doesn’t send the same stage more than once on the same day.
- Sends personalized follow-up messages via Telegram to each customer.
- Updates Google Sheets with the follow-up stage and the follow-up date.
- Generates a daily digest summarizing follow-ups sent per stage, plus notes on skipped rows and quotes pending for more than 30 days.
- Sends the digest to the owner via Telegram when enabled and an owner chat ID is set.
- Processes incoming Telegram messages: classifies replies as positive/negative/neutral, notifies the owner for positive/neutral replies, and marks the sender’s pending quote as lost in Google Sheets for negative replies (then notifies the owner).
Use cases
- Follow up on sales leads stored in Google Sheets—without manually tracking dates and stages.
- Keep customers engaged with timed Telegram reminders and clear status logging in your sheet.
- Speed up sales operations by automatically escalating “not interested” replies and tagging quotes as lost.
Technical details
- Google Sheets (OAuth): reads/updates the “Quotes” tab using the spreadsheet Document ID.
- Telegram: sends outbound follow-ups and receives incoming replies.
- Logic and control with nodes such as if, set, and code.
- Sticky note nodes for workflow documentation/clarity.
