Turn Today’s Google Sheets Workout into a Branded Vertical Video with Zvid

This n8n workflow automatically pulls today’s workout from Google Sheets and renders a ready-to-post vertical MP4 using Zvid—including validation, captions, and a download for review.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily or on demand: triggers every day at 6am or can be started via a manual trigger.
• Loads your render & branding settings: colors, fonts, hero video, music, timezone, and dry-run options, then reads workout rows from a configured Google Sheets tab.
• Selects the correct workout row using the configured timezone:
  • Requires Date, WorkoutName, and Ex1.
  • If fallbackToLatest=true, it uses the latest past row and never selects a future row—it also preserves the original workout date.
• Parses exercises: reads Ex1–Ex5 into exercise and reps fields.
• Builds a Zvid project JSON for a three-scene vertical video (hook footage, workout board, and coach’s note) and generates a ready caption.
• Validates payloads using Zvid’s validation endpoint; if invalid, it stops with a detailed error.
• Renders or drafts:
  • dryRun=true: saves an editor draft via “Zvid Project → Create support” (not exposed in published npm v0.1.8; keep dryRun=false).
  • dryRun=false (default): submits a render job, polls for completion/timeout, and outputs a summary.
• Downloads the finished video in the “Watch video” step to Binary → data → View.
