Turn Google Maps leads into Gmail outreach drafts—automatically
This n8n workflow finds local business leads from Google Maps, audits their websites with HTTP requests and Firecrawl, scores the opportunity, and then generates OpenAI-written email drafts. Approved leads automatically receive scheduled Gmail drafts, while results are logged to Google Sheets and summarized to Slack.
What this workflow does
- Starts from an n8n form submission where you enter business type, location, country code, max results, and the service you want to pitch.
- Scrapes matching Google Maps listings using the Apify Google Places crawler, then normalizes fields and deduplicates by place ID and website.
- Evaluates each business website by fetching the site to detect signals like email/contact details, booking/chat/contact forms, mobile friendliness, and copyright year.
- Falls back to Firecrawl scraping when the site is unreachable or when no email is found.
- Scores opportunities using a rule-based approach, labeling leads as Hot/Warm/Cold.
- Generates outreach copy with OpenAI (subject, email body, and call opener) only for Hot/Warm leads.
- Saves all results to Google Sheets (“Leads” tab) and logs run totals to a “Runs” tab, plus posts a Slack summary (or “no results” alert).
- On weekdays at 10:00, creates up to 20 Gmail drafts for leads you marked as Approved, updates the sheet status, and posts a Slack confirmation.
Use cases
- Running local lead generation campaigns for SEO, web design, or local services—without manual searching.
- Auditing contact signals and prioritizing outreach for faster sales follow-up.
- Scheduling Gmail drafts for approved leads and keeping stakeholders updated in Slack.
