Log new UK Apify grant matches to Notion and get Slack alerts for those closing soon
This n8n workflow listens for Apify UK Grant Alert Engine results, saves new grant matches into Notion, and sends a Slack notification only when a grant is flagged as closing soon.
What this workflow does
- Receives an Apify webhook when the UK Grant Alert Engine actor run completes, and immediately replies “OK” to prevent retries.
- Fetches grant match records from the run’s default Apify dataset (up to 200 items).
- Filters for new matches and ignores records that are not marked as new.
- Creates Notion database pages for each new grant, including key fields such as funding body, award range, deadline, days to close, matched keyword, and the application URL.
- Detects closing soon status for each newly logged grant.
- Posts a formatted Slack alert to your chosen channel for grants flagged as closing soon.
Use cases
- For founders and research teams: capture new UK grant opportunities in Notion and get timely Slack reminders as deadlines approach.
- For automation engineers: connect Apify webhooks to a structured knowledge base with controlled alerting.
- For SaaS operators: centralize grant lead tracking and reduce noise by alerting only “closing soon” matches.
