Keep your profile backlinks indexed—automatically spot issues and alert your inbox

This n8n workflow monitors your public profile pages for indexability problems (like noindex), missing backlinks to your domain, and HTTP fetch errors. It runs daily and sends only when it detects real issues.

What this workflow does

  • Runs on a schedule: Executes every day at 7am (adjustable via cron).
  • Builds a check list: Reads your myDomain and profile URL(s) from the configuration step (uses non-empty profile… fields).
  • Fetches pages over HTTP: Requests each profile URL using a browser-like user agent and captures the full response + HTTP status code.
  • Parses HTML for indexability: Detects meta robots noindex directives.
  • Validates backlinks: Finds links that point back to your domain and checks their rel attributes.
  • Flags likely JavaScript-only shells: Identifies pages that appear to be JS-only and excludes healthy pages/JS-only shells from alerts.
  • Sends a single report: Aggregates only the remaining issues (noindex, missing backlink, or HTTP/fetch errors) into a plain-text message and sends it via Gmail.

Use cases

  • SaaS operators who rely on profile backlinks for SEO and want early detection of broken or removed links.
  • Automation engineers maintaining many profile pages and needing daily, low-noise monitoring.
  • Teams troubleshooting indexability after platform changes or redirect/availability problems.
