Get instant SMS alerts when your website goes down—plus Twilio health checks

This n8n workflow monitors one or more websites every 5 minutes and checks key Twilio business number signals (balance, routing changes, and carrier blocking). When issues begin, persist, or recover, it sends SMS alerts via Twilio to the owner—respecting quiet hours.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a 5-minute schedule and loads your business details, phone numbers, timezone, thresholds, quiet hours, and the website list to monitor.
• Validates and splits website checks, including required “must contain” page text rules.
• Performs HTTP checks with a 15-second timeout. A site is marked down if it errors, returns an HTTP 4xx/5xx, has TLS/certificate problems, or is missing required page text.
• Queries Twilio via REST API to fetch your account SID, current balance, routing configuration, and recent outbound message logs.
• Alerts only on meaningful changes: texts when a site fails two checks in a row, when balance falls below your floor, when routing changes, or when carrier-blocked messages occur in the last hour.
• Quiet hours control: alerts are held during quiet hours except for routing changes; routing changes can still notify immediately.
• Combines notifications into one SMS per event (break, periodic reminder every 4 hours while broken, and recovery). If Twilio can’t accept the SMS, it’s kept and sent on the next check.
