Quiet enquiry chases, automated: Google Sheets + Gmail nudges via n8n

This n8n workflow checks your enquiries tracker in Google Sheets every weekday morning, identifies enquiries that have gone quiet, and sends each owner a single consolidated Gmail nudge. Optionally, it also emails you a morning digest summarising open enquiries by stage and highlighting which ones need chasing.

What this workflow does

• Runs on schedule at 08:30 (weekday mornings) or can be run manually.
• Loads configuration for your tracker sheet/tab, which stages are considered “open”, chase thresholds, and email settings.
• Scans the Google Sheets tracker and analyses each row to find enquiries that are still in an open stage, how long they’ve been quiet, and how many chases have already been sent.
• Groups stalled enquiries by owner email so each owner receives one consolidated nudge listing their quiet enquiries and next actions.
• Sends nudge emails via Gmail (or produces a preview when sending is disabled).
• Updates Google Sheets after emailing: increments “Chases sent” and appends a timestamped note matched by each enquiry’s Ref.
• Builds and optionally sends a morning digest showing counts of open enquiries by stage, listing quiet enquiries (oldest first), and including a warning list for enquiries with no owner email.
• Digest sending is configurable: when disabled, you get a preview output instead of sending.
