Keep your Webflow directory listings in sync with Google Maps—automatically
This n8n workflow refreshes your Webflow CMS directory using the latest Google Maps listing data pulled via Bright Data. Every week, it detects meaningful rating/review changes, rewrites updated one-line blurbs with OpenAI (GPT-5.6), posts a digest to Slack, and can update Webflow when changes are approved.
What this workflow does
- Runs on a weekly schedule and loads configuration like Webflow IDs, field slugs, change thresholds, and dry-run vs publish settings.
- Pulls items from a Webflow CMS collection and builds a batch of Google Maps URLs (up to your configured maximum).
- Fetches fresh Google Maps results via Bright Data, then polls until the snapshot is ready and downloads the updated listing data.
- Compares new vs stored values (rating, review count, and closed status) and keeps only listings that exceed your defined change thresholds.
- Generates a new one-sentence directory blurb per changed listing using OpenAI (GPT-5.6), based on the provided category and the updated numbers.
- Posts a formatted refresh digest to Slack, then updates matching Webflow CMS items with the new rating, review count, and blurb when dry_run is disabled and the listing is not flagged as permanently closed.
Use cases
- Operators of SaaS directories who need current local business metrics without manual reviews.
- Automation engineers maintaining a Webflow CMS catalog that must stay aligned with Google Maps quality signals.
- Teams that want a weekly refresh workflow with visibility through Slack before publishing.
