n8n Workflow: Renderster Video Clips to Google Drive

Turn a single video link into captioned vertical short clips—then auto-save them to Google Drive

This n8n workflow takes a video URL submitted via an n8n Form, sends it to Renderster to generate vertical (9:16) short clips with word-by-word captions, and then downloads each finished clip and uploads it to your selected Google Drive folder using clean, numbered filenames.

What this workflow does

• Collect input: Receives a submission from an n8n Form Trigger containing a video URL and the desired number of clips.
• Create a Renderster clips job: Sends the video URL plus clip settings to the Renderster API, including:
  • clip count
  • caption style (word-by-word)
  • 9:16 aspect ratio
  • auto hook titles
• Wait & poll for completion: Waits 30 seconds, then repeatedly checks the Renderster job status URL until the job completes or fails.
• Error handling: If Renderster reports failure, the workflow stops and returns an error message.
• Split results & process per clip: Splits the Renderster output so you get one item per generated clip.
• Download and upload to Google Drive: Downloads each clip from Renderster and uploads it to Google Drive, naming files with a two-digit index and a sanitized, title-based clip name.
