Review scheduled X posts automatically with OpenAI Vision—every 6 hours
This n8n workflow automatically checks your upcoming X/Twitter posts stored in Google Drive, analyzes tweet.txt plus attached images using the OpenAI Responses API (Vision), caches results in an n8n Data Table, and sends both a queue digest and critical Telegram alerts.
What this workflow does
- Schedules execution every 6 hours (or runs manually) to review the next posts within a configurable analysis horizon.
- Loads configuration such as the Google Drive queue folder, horizon, scoring thresholds, and the Telegram chat ID.
- Scans Google Drive subfolders, parses scheduled timestamps from folder names, and selects the next eligible posts up to a configured maximum.
- Validates each post package: requires tweet.txt plus 1–4 images.
- Prevents duplicate work by computing a content hash and reusing cached assessments from an n8n Data Table when nothing changed.
- Runs OpenAI Vision analysis for non-cached, valid packages by sending tweet text and images to the OpenAI Responses API with a strict JSON schema request.
- Scores and labels results, calculates a weighted overall score, assigns READY / IMPROVE / REWORK, and stores the outcome back in the Data Table.
- Sends Telegram notifications: immediate alerts for critical low-scoring posts (when enabled) and a formatted execution digest afterward (when enabled).
Use cases
- Queue-based social content QA for SaaS teams publishing to X/Twitter.
- Automated review of scheduled posts so weak visuals or content can be flagged before publishing.
- Operational monitoring: daily/periodic digest to track verdict counts and top issues.
Technical details
- n8n nodes/tools referenced: if, set, code, telegram, data table, sticky note.
- Integrations: Google Drive (queue folders, tweet.txt, images) and OpenAI Responses API (Vision).
Perfect for n8n workflow users and automation engineers who want reliable, cache-aware OpenAI Vision review for scheduled X posts—with actionable Telegram alerts.
