Get instant Slack alerts when competitors undercut your Scrapewise prices

This n8n workflow checks Scrapewise price matches every day, detects where a competitor is cheaper than your shop, logs the price gaps to Google Sheets, and posts one clear summary to Slack—so you can act fast on pricing changes.

What this workflow does

  • Runs daily at 08:00 using an n8n schedule trigger.
  • Reads your configuration (Scrapewise group ID, shop name, relevant column headers, and the number of rows to process) from workflow settings.
  • Pulls the latest matched pricing data from Scrapewise via its MCP endpoint using your API key (HTTP Bearer Auth).
  • Compares prices by grouping rows by match key and keeping only products where a competitor price is lower than your shop’s price.
  • Logs results to Google Sheets by appending one row per undercut product, including the gap and gap % to a specified sheet/tab (e.g., “Price gaps”).
  • Posts a single Slack message to your selected channel with the top 10 biggest undercuts and the total count found.

Use cases

  • Monitor competitive pricing across matched products and react to undercuts every morning.
  • Maintain an audit trail of undercut events in Google Sheets for ongoing pricing analysis.
  • Keep a pricing team aligned with concise Slack updates instead of raw spreadsheets.

Technical details

  • Integrations / nodes: schedule trigger, HTTP (Scrapewise MCP) via HTTP Bearer Auth, Code, Google Sheets, and Slack.
  • Data flow: Scrapewise matched rows → group by match key → compute price gaps → append to Google Sheets → send one Slack summary.
  • Configuration needed: Scrapewise group ID and column names, Google Sheets OAuth + spreadsheet ID/sheet name, and Slack channel selection (e.g., #pricing).
