Automate Quote Chasing: Send Gmail Follow-ups from Google Sheets on a Weekday Schedule

This n8n workflow automatically reads quote requests from your Google Sheets “Requests” tab and sends timed follow-up emails via Gmail—then updates the same sheet to track each follow-up step and next follow-up date for unanswered quotes.

What this workflow does

  • Runs every weekday at 9:00 AM to process new follow-up activity on schedule.
  • Reads all rows from the Google Sheets document’s “Requests” sheet.
  • Filters eligible quotes where Status is “Quote sent” and the Next follow-up is due based on your configured day sequence and the current Follow-up Step.
  • Composes and sends the next follow-up email using Gmail, optionally including the `Quote Amount` in the message.
  • Updates the matching sheet row with:
    • an incremented Follow-up Step
    • Last Follow-up At timestamp
    • the calculated Next Follow-up At date

Use cases

  • You generate quote requests in Google Sheets and want consistent, timed follow-ups without manual outreach.
  • Your team sends quotes once, then relies on an automated sequence to keep prospects engaged until answered.
  • You operate a small SaaS or service business and need a repeatable n8n automation workflow for quote follow-up tracking.
