Turn n8n Form submissions into branded PDF reports—automatically

This n8n workflow takes responses from an n8n Form and returns a finished, branded PDF report via PDFMint—without running a headless browser or logging into a template editor.

What this workflow does

• Collects report inputs: a title, an author, an optional site, and the findings.
• Refuses incomplete submissions before it spends any API usage.
• Checks PDFMint monthly document availability to confirm your PDFMint account still has documents left for the current month.
• Assembles the Markdown for the report, including:
  • your branded title block
  • a word-count and a reading-time line
  • the findings
  • an optional recommendation
  • your configured footer
• Renders and displays the result after PDFMint generates the branded PDF.
• Handles failures clearly: if PDFMint can’t be reached, the person who submitted the form is shown a reason instead of seeing a blank page.

Set up (quick)

• Add a PDFMint credential using an API key from pdf.mintapis.com (free plan: 10 documents/month, no card required).
• Open Set report branding and add your company, accent colour, and footer.
• Activate the workflow and open the production form URL.
