This n8n workflow checks NOAA Storm Prediction Center hail/wind reports and National Weather Service alerts every 30 minutes, matches them to your past customers by location, and sends you (or your customers) a consolidated SMS summary via Twilio—with suppression for repeat notifications and quiet-hours handling.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a 30-minute schedule to stay current with the latest NOAA SPC reports and NWS alert activity.
• Loads business settings and your customer list, validates phone numbers/time zone, and identifies which addresses still need geocoding.
• Geocodes new addresses using the US Census Geocoder, then retrieves the matching National Weather Service forecast zone and county via api.weather.gov.
• Downloads NOAA SPC hail and wind report CSVs (today/yesterday, or a replay date) and pulls active NWS alerts for the states you serve.
• Matches reports/alerts to customers within your configured radius and thresholds, including repeat-notification suppression using workflow static data.
• Formats one summary message per run (including names, phone numbers, distance, size, and local time). Messages are held during quiet hours and previously failed sends are retried.
• Texts via Twilio or optionally hands off each group to a companion outreach webhook for approval before any customer is contacted.
