Track Reddit mentions automatically—daily—to Slack and Gmail

This Reddit Keyword Tracker in n8n finds new Reddit posts that mention your brand, competitors, or product category once per day, then sends matching updates to Slack and/or a Gmail HTML digest. It uses the Reddit Scraper Actor on Apify, so you don’t need a Reddit API key or app.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily at 08:00 via an n8n schedule.
• The Apify node executes the Reddit Scraper Actor to search Reddit for each keyword (newest first) and keep results from the last day.
• A filter ensures only relevant posts are kept.
• Remove Duplicates prevents the same mention from being sent again across runs.
• One branch posts each match to Slack, including the keyword that triggered the alert.
• The other branch groups mentions by keyword, builds one HTML email, and sends it through Gmail.

Technical details

• Apify: Add the verified community node (@apify/n8n-nodes-apify).
• Apify credentials: Create an API token in Apify Console (free plan includes monthly credits).
• Integrations: Slack, Gmail (use one or both by deleting the unused branch).
• n8n nodes shown: set, code, gmail, slack, filter, sticky note.
• Customization: search only one subreddit using withinCommunity in the Apify input; put a phrase in double quotes.

Quick setup

Add the Apify node (if needed), paste your Apify token, connect Slack and/or Gmail, then enter keywords (comma-separated) and your email address in the Settings node—setup takes about 5 minutes.
