Resolve company website domains to LinkedIn company records using Apify (n8n)
Drop a list of company domains into your n8n workflow and automatically get matching LinkedIn company results back—using Apify’s “LinkedIn Company by Domain” actor—with built-in confidence checks and a needsReview flag for uncertain matches.
What this workflow does
- Accepts 1–10 domains as input (or uses an internal sample list when running manually).
- Validates and normalizes the domains, then constructs the actor input, including concurrency and an option to keep unresolved results.
- Starts the Apify actor run via the Apify API, using a charge cap and an actor run timeout.
- Polls the run status by checking the Apify run every 15 seconds, stopping on failure or after a polling age limit (with an overall workflow execution limit of 20 minutes).
- Fetches completed results from the Apify dataset tied to the successful run.
- Validates each returned row and sets needsReview when the confidence is not high/medium or when the LinkedIn company URL is missing/invalid.
Use cases
- Enrich CRM or lead lists by mapping company domains to official LinkedIn company pages.
- Build prospecting workflows that require LinkedIn URLs but only have websites.
- Quality-control automation: automatically flag low-confidence or invalid domain-to-LinkedIn matches for manual review.
- Support SaaS operations teams who need consistent company-to-LinkedIn linking at small scale (1–10 domains per run).
Technical details
- n8n nodes: Code, Wait, Switch, HTTP Request, Manual Trigger, plus a Sticky Note.
- Apify integration via Apify API using an HTTP Header Auth credential:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN. - Primary actor used: Apify “LinkedIn Company by Domain”.
Perfect for n8n automation engineers and SaaS operators who need reliable LinkedIn company resolution from domains—with transparent review signals when results aren’t confident.
