Turn an old photo into a talking video—automatically, inside n8n
This n8n workflow lets you upload or link to an old photo, optionally restore it with useapi.net Muse, and generate one or two short talking-video takes with a spoken line. You can review results and save the final MP4 (and restored image) to Google Drive—all from an authenticated n8n form.
What this workflow does
- Collect input via n8n form: Users open an authenticated n8n form, upload a photo or provide an HTTPS image URL, choose restore options, enter the spoken line, and submit.
- Use Muse quota with a “Before you spend” check: The workflow uploads the image to useapi.net Muse Assets, reads the selected Muse account’s quota, and shows an allowance estimate for confirmation.
- Optional photo restoration: If selected, it creates an asynchronous Muse image job, polls for completion, and offers a page to accept the restored photo, redo with updated notes, or keep the original.
- Generate talking-video takes: It starts one or two asynchronous Muse video jobs to animate the chosen image and speak the provided line, polling until each take finishes.
- Pick or redo: The workflow displays each take so the user can choose the best result or generate again with a new line/motion.
- Optional Google Drive saving: If enabled, it downloads the selected MP4 (and restored image) from useapi.net and uploads them to Google Drive.
- Final results & secure downloads: A final results page includes an embedded player and signed download links served through a dedicated webhook, plus updated quota usage information.
