Automate LinkedIn image drafts: pull one Google Drive file daily and schedule it in PostNitro
This n8n workflow automatically runs every day at 4 PM, selects a single file from your Google Drive “content” folder, imports it into PostNitro as an image-based LinkedIn draft scheduled for the next day, then archives the file and emails you a confirmation via Gmail.
What this workflow does
- Runs on a schedule: triggers daily at 4 PM using a scheduled trigger.
- Checks your Google Drive folder: searches a specific folder (your configured “content” folder ID) for available files.
- Processes only one file per run: uses a limit to ensure only one file is handled each day.
- Creates a PostNitro LinkedIn draft: imports the selected file into PostNitro as an image post draft for LinkedIn, scheduled one day in the future (offset currently set to +1 day).
- Prevents duplicate processing: moves the processed file to a separate Google Drive “done” folder.
- Sends a confirmation email: via Gmail, including the processed file name.
Use cases
- Queue up LinkedIn creatives in Google Drive and have them automatically turned into scheduled image drafts in PostNitro.
- Keep a clear daily workflow by processing exactly one asset per run and archiving it to a “done” folder.
- Get a daily notification email confirming which file was scheduled for LinkedIn.
Technical details
- n8n integrations/nodes: Google Drive, PostNitro (PostNitro API), Gmail, Schedule Trigger, and a Limit control (plus supporting nodes like Sticky Note).
- Required setup: connect Google Drive OAuth2, provide content and done folder IDs; connect PostNitro API credentials and confirm brand ID, template ID, and target account selection; connect Gmail OAuth2 and set the recipient email.
- Configurable timing: adjust the run time (currently 4 PM) and the scheduled publish offset (currently +1 day).
