Send New Reddit Posts to Slack & Google Sheets with n8n

Automatically forward only new Reddit posts to Slack and log them in Google Sheets—every hour

This n8n workflow checks your subreddits, Reddit searches, and saved RSS feeds once an hour, then sends only the posts published since the last run to your Slack channel and appends them to a Google Sheet for tracking and history.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a schedule: The Schedule Trigger executes the workflow every hour.
• Fetches only new Reddit content (no Reddit account needed): The Apify → Run an Actor and get dataset node runs Apify’s Reddit RSS Feed Replacement in “only new since last run” mode.
• Transforms each post into a clean row: An Edit Fields step shapes data into: posted at, subreddit, title, author, score, comments, link.
• Sends to Slack and logs to Sheets: Slack posts one message per new post, and Google Sheets appends each item as a new row.
• Nothing new, nothing happens: If no new posts are detected, the run returns no items and nothing is sent.

Setup note: Add your Apify token as an Apify credential, paste feed URLs into the Apify node input (including old Reddit .rss links), and ensure your Google Sheet first row is: Posted at, Subreddit, Title, Author, Score, Comments, Link.
