If you want real-time alerts without setting up Reddit API apps or OAuth, this n8n workflow uses Apify to monitor the subreddits you follow and send a notification for each new, matching post. Deduped, keyword-filtered, and controlled by NSFW and author rules—so you only see what matters.

What this workflow does

• Runs hourly (or you can run once to test) to check each configured subreddit’s new feed for the last hour.
• Lets you manage subreddits, lookback window, per-run cap, optional keyword, author filters, and NSFW filtering in the Configure Subreddits & Channels section.
• Uses the Fetch New Subreddit Posts step to run the Apify Fast Reddit Scraper and fetch up to 25 new posts per subreddit/run (with Apify cost per run).
• Prevents duplicates across runs using Skip Already-Seen Posts, which stores post IDs in n8n’s database (shared across workers, capped at 10,000).
• Filters out non-matching content via Keep Matching Posts: skips dropped ads, ignored authors (e.g., AutoModerator by default), NSFW posts, and—if configured—posts whose title/body doesn’t contain your keyword.
• Sends alerts: Send Alert to Telegram posts one message per new post including subreddit, title, excerpt, upvotes, comments, and link. (Discord and Slack alerts are included and can be enabled/disabled.)
