This Shopify Image Audit n8n workflow runs every Monday morning to review product images, generate one-sentence fix notes using Google Gemini, log findings in Google Sheets, and post a clear summary to Slack.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a schedule: executes every Monday morning.
• Pulls a limited batch from Shopify: retrieves products from your Shopify store, then splits each product’s image list into one item per image.
• Reads image metadata with ShotEdit: sends each image URL to the ShotEdit Image Info API to fetch metadata such as format, dimensions, and file size—along with an optimization recommendation.
• Filters to only actionable issues: images marked as OK are filtered out, so only images needing changes continue through the workflow.
• Turns recommendations into fix instructions: uses Google Gemini to convert the technical recommendation into a one-sentence fix instruction plus a priority.
• Tracks results in Google Sheets: appends or updates the finding keyed by image URL, then aggregates run results.
• Sends a Slack summary: posts the run summary to your selected Slack channel.

Setup requirements

Add credentials for Shopify (Admin API access token), Google Sheets, Slack, and Google Gemini. Update the audit parameters (Google Sheet ID, sheet name, Slack channel, and Shopify product limit) and create the sheet tab with an image_url column so rows can be updated in place.
