Shopify Orders → ERP Sync with Jitterflow + Slack Alerts (Secure Webhook + Idempotent Delivery)
This n8n workflow securely receives Shopify orders/create webhooks, converts each order into an ERP import payload, and queues deliveries through Jitterflow with idempotency, retries, and rate-limited handling. If anything fails, you’ll get a daily Slack summary of the Shopify orders that landed in Jitterflow’s dead-letter queue.
What this workflow does
-
Validates Shopify webhook authenticity: It keeps the raw webhook body for verification, computes the Shopify HMAC SHA256 signature, and rejects mismatches with a 401 response (using the
x-shopify-hmac-sha256header). - Transforms order data for ERP import: It maps Shopify order identifiers, customer/shipping details, totals, and line items into an ERP-friendly payload.
- Queues delivery via Jitterflow: Each order is sent to Jitterflow with an idempotency key based on the Shopify order ID, and the workflow responds 200 to Shopify only after the order is successfully queued.
- Monitors failures with a daily job: Every morning at 8:00, it lists unresolved items in the Jitterflow dead-letter queue, filtering to only those originating from Shopify.
- Alerts in Slack: It aggregates failed Shopify orders into a single list and posts a Slack message summarizing which orders did not reach the ERP, including the associated HTTP status or failure reason.
Use cases
- Sync Shopify orders into an ERP reliably without exceeding ERP rate limits.
- Guarantee webhook security with HMAC verification and correct HTTP handling.
- Get daily operational visibility in Slack when order delivery fails.
- Prevent duplicate ERP imports using Jitterflow idempotency keyed by Shopify order ID.
