Auto-create Odoo Sales Orders from Shopify Paid Orders—instantly notify via Slack & Gmail

When a customer’s order is marked paid in Shopify, this n8n workflow automatically finds (or creates) matching products and the customer in Odoo, then generates an Odoo Sales Order. It also sends a success message to Slack and a confirmation email via Gmail, with errors reported to a dedicated Slack alerts channel.

What this workflow does

• Triggers on Shopify orders/paid events for newly paid orders.
• Validates the payload to ensure it contains at least one line item and a customer email; malformed data is routed to an error alert.
• Processes each Shopify line item: splits the order into items, searches Odoo products by SKU (using default_codecreates missing products in Odoo when needed.
• Aggregates order lines by collecting resolved Odoo product IDs, quantities, and unit prices into a single set of order lines.
• Finds or creates the customer in Odoo (res.partner) by email; if no match exists, it creates a new contact using Shopify customer and shipping details.
• Creates an Odoo sales order (sale.order) using the aggregated lines and the Shopify order reference.
• Notifies outcomes: posts success to Slack and sends a confirmation email via Gmail; node-level errors are logged and sent to a dedicated Slack alerts channel.
