Automate Shopify wholesale applications end-to-end (with n8n)

This n8n workflow automatically collects wholesale applications from an n8n Form, finds (or creates) the matching customer in Shopify, tags them as pending, appends the application answers to their customer notes, and emails you the full submission—with an optional confirmation email to the applicant.

What this workflow does

• Receives a wholesale application via an n8n Form submission.
• Loads configurable settings such as your Shopify subdomain, pending/approved tags, notification recipients, and whether to send applicant confirmations.
• Looks up the Shopify customer using the applicant’s email through the Shopify Admin GraphQL API.
• Creates or updates the customer by:
  • Adding the pending wholesale tag (while preserving existing tags).
  • Appending the application answers to the customer note (while preserving existing notes).
• Notifies you via email with the application details and a link to open the customer record in Shopify. The applicant’s email is used as the reply-to address.
• Optionally confirms receipt to the applicant via email.

Setup essentials: connect Shopify OAuth2 (read/write customer scopes), add SMTP credentials, configure Settings (subdomain/tags/recipients/from/store name), and link the n8n Form production URL on your website.
