Track TikTok creator growth automatically—baseline + change alerts in Telegram
This n8n automation workflow monitors a TikTok creator watchlist by scraping profile metrics with Apify, saving snapshots to Google Sheets, and sending Telegram alerts whenever a creator’s metrics or qualification status changes.
What this workflow does
- Runs manually or weekly: You can trigger it on demand, or schedule it to run every Monday at 09:00.
- Reads your watchlist + thresholds from the Google Sheets “Creators” tab and validates/normalizes the TikTok handles.
- Scrapes latest TikTok profile metrics by starting the FetchCat’s TikTok profile scraper via Apify and downloading the latest metrics from the actor dataset.
- Calculates changes by normalizing metrics and comparing them against the previous values stored in Google Sheets “Current Profiles” to determine follower/like/video changes and qualification status.
- Sends Telegram messages for the first baseline snapshot or when meaningful growth/decline and/or qualification status changes are detected.
- Stores everything for auditing: appends a dated row per creator to “Snapshot History” and upserts the latest metrics into “Current Profiles”.
Use cases
- Monitor a creator shortlist for brand partnerships and track momentum over time.
- Run weekly TikTok analytics monitoring for SaaS ops teams managing influencer or audience KPIs.
- Provide stakeholders with Telegram change notifications without manually checking profiles.
Technical details
- n8n nodes used: if, code, telegram, http request, google sheets (plus a sticky note for workflow documentation).
- Apify integration: uses an Apify token as an HTTP Header Auth credential for two Apify HTTP requests.
- Google Sheets: OAuth2 connection with tabs Creators, Current Profiles, and Snapshot History (headers must match the written columns).
- Telegram: Telegram Bot token credential; messages sent to your target chat/group (replace the chat ID).
