This Timed Email-Verified Quiz Workflow for n8n delivers a complete quiz experience: it collects a signup via n8n Forms, verifies the participant with a 6-digit SMTP email code, enforces one attempt per email, runs a timed quiz, and saves scored results to n8n Data Tables—all with resend limits and secure code storage.

What this workflow does

• Quiz sign-up (Form 1): receives participant name and email through an n8n Form.
• Normalize, validate, and rate-limit: checks the email against n8n Data Tables to prevent repeat participation, and applies per-email and per-hour limits for verification codes.
• Send a verification code securely: generates a 6-digit code, sends it using SMTP (Email Send), and stores only the SHA-256 hash of the code in the quiz_codes Data Table.
• Second Form verification: prompts for the emailed code, verifies it against the latest stored hash, enforces code expiry, and limits the maximum number of attempts.
• Create the quiz run: on valid verification, writes a participant record to quiz_results and selects 10 random multiple-choice questions plus 1 feedback question from quiz_questions.
• Timed quiz + scoring: presents the timed quiz form, then scores submitted answers (or records timeout/late submission), updates the participant’s result, and shows the completion page when applicable.
