This n8n workflow captures new grant awards and spend entries via POST webhooks, converts award terms into a reporting & deadline calendar, and keeps the grant lead informed through Gmail and Telegram—with scheduled weekly deadline reminders and a monthly portfolio review for high-burn or near spend-by awards. What this workflow does

• Ingest grant awards via webhook: A new grant award is received through a POST webhook and normalized into consistent fields (e.g., funder, program, amount, term, reporting cadence, and key contacts).
• Validate & generate a reporting calendar: Required award fields are checked. Then OpenAI turns award terms into a JSON reporting calendar including milestones, due dates, buffer days, and a compliance risk note.
• Write to Google Sheets: The workflow appends the award to the “Awards” tab and records each milestone as a row in the “Deadlines” tab.
• Notify stakeholders: It emails the calendar to the grant lead using Gmail and posts a new-award alert to Telegram.
• Handle errors safely: If the award payload is invalid, it emails an admin via Gmail, alerts the team in Telegram, and logs the rejection to the “Errors” tab in Google Sheets.
• Log spend-down entries: Spend entries are received via a POST webhook, validated, matched to the correct award in Google Sheets, and logged in the spend-down tracking area.
• Automate reminders & reviews: Weekly deadline reminders and a monthly portfolio review help prioritize awards that are high-burn or near spend-by.
