This n8n workflow searches Webz.io news every morning for fresh startup funding announcements, uses GPT-4.1-mini to extract structured round details, and then automatically sends a Slack alert and appends new leads to Google Sheets—so you never miss meaningful funding activity.

What this workflow does

• Runs automatically every day at 08:00 via the Schedule Trigger.
• Searches by sector using your configured sector list, splitting it into one Webz.io search per sector.
• Extracts round details with OpenAI: for each sector, an OpenAI GPT-4.1-mini agent queries the Webz.io news search tool and converts qualifying funding mentions into a consistent structured format.
• Deduplicates and filters results across sectors and previous workflow runs using workflow static data, then removes rounds below your configured minimum round size and applies your lookback window and article count settings.
• Notifies in Slack: if any new rounds remain, the workflow posts a grouped alert to your selected Slack channel.
• Updates your lead list: splits new rounds into individual records and appends them as new rows in Google Sheets.
