Track Google search momentum every week—automatically append it to Google Sheets

This n8n workflow pulls weekly Google Trends interest and rising searches for your chosen keywords using Apify’s Google Trends API, then writes one summarized row per keyword into Google Sheets—so you can monitor trend direction without manual research.

What this workflow does

• Runs every Monday at 08:00 via a scheduled trigger.
• Uses a configurable keyword list, location, and timeRange to define what to query.
• Calls Apify’s Google Trends API to retrieve metrics for each keyword, including interest values and related rising searches.
• Transforms the response into one row per keyword, capturing:
  • average and latest interest
  • peak date
  • a rising/falling flag
  • the top rising searches
• Appends the rows to a specified Google Sheets worksheet to build a weekly trend log.

Technical details

• Schedule Trigger: runs weekly (Monday 08:00).
• HTTP Request: calls Apify Google Trends API using HTTP Bearer Auth with an Apify API token.
• Code: reshapes the API response into rows per keyword and formats the rising searches summary.
• Google Sheets: appends results to your selected spreadsheet (document ID) and worksheet (sheet name).
• Setup includes configuring keywords, location, and timeRange in the Settings step.

Cost note: Apify pricing applies per use (e.g., about $0.025 per comparison up to 5 keywords plus $0.03 per keyword for rising searches).
