Copy a Slack conversation (or get @mentioned) and this n8n workflow will summarize it into a ready-to-share meeting brief Google Slides deck—generated by Anthropic Claude (Haiku) and filled into your template automatically.

What this workflow does

• Triggers when a user submits the n8n form with a pasted conversation or when the workflow is @mentioned in Slack.
• For Slack mentions, it verifies the requester is on an allowed user list, then fetches the thread replies and looks up participant display names via the Slack API.
• Converts the conversation into a numbered transcript (optionally including Slack timestamps in the configured time zone). If there are fewer than two messages, it stops.
• Sends the transcript and slide purpose to Claude (Haiku) to generate a JSON meeting brief (title, background, discussion points, decisions needed, and next steps) with quoted sources.
• Validates the AI output by checking that cited quotes exist in the conversation and that any numbers/dates/owners are supported—then drops unsupported items and records why.
• Copies a Google Slides template and uses the Google Slides API to replace {{placeholders}} with the validated brief and a sources section.
• Posts the Slides link back to the Slack thread, or shows the result on the form completion page.
