Get a weekday AI news brief in Slack—automatically, by topic, and with citations
This n8n workflow runs every weekday morning to search You.com for the latest AI news, score articles with TypeSafe’s Jev, and post a concise, cited 1–4 bullet morning brief per topic directly into Slack.
What this workflow does
- Schedules for weekdays at 8am (based on your n8n instance timezone).
- Splits your configured topic list into individual searches and uses You.com Search to fetch up to 15 articles per topic from the past day.
- Normalizes results into consistent article records and skips URLs already processed in previous runs.
- Sends each new article to TypeSafe’s Jev API to evaluate:
- whether it reports a real development
- how on-topic it is for the configured topic
- its materiality for your team
- Filters to keep only articles meeting the development, topicality, and materiality thresholds.
- Writes topic-based briefs using You.com Research (1–4 bullets), formats citations as Slack links, and posts to your selected Slack channel.
Use cases
- AI product teams that want daily, topic-based updates without manually scanning news.
- SaaS operators and founders needing a quick view of material AI developments each morning.
- Automation engineers setting up a You.com + Slack knowledge feed with model-based filtering via Jev.
