Weekly App Review Digest: Apify & Gmail for iOS/Android (n8n)

Get a weekly digest of your iOS & Android reviews—automatically

This n8n workflow runs every Monday morning and automatically fetches the latest App Store and Google Play reviews (via Apify), compiles key stats and recent negative feedback, and emails you an HTML report through Gmail.

What this workflow does

• Scheduled weekly run: Executes every Monday at 8:00 AM on your n8n schedule.
• Loads configuration: Reads your app identifiers, country, review limit (maxReviews), and the recipient address (digestEmail) from a configuration step.
• Fetches App Store reviews: Calls Apify’s App Store Reviews Scraper API over HTTP to retrieve the newest iOS reviews.
• Fetches Google Play reviews: Calls Apify’s Google Play Reviews Scraper API over HTTP to retrieve the newest Android reviews.
• Generates a 7-day digest: Combines both stores’ results, keeps only reviews from the last 7 days, and creates an HTML digest with:
  • Per-store review counts
  • Average rating
  • Up to three recent reviews rated 2 stars or below
• Sends via Gmail: Emails the HTML report using Gmail, with a subject line that includes the weekly review count and overall average rating.

Technical details

• Apify integration: Uses Apify API token authentication via an HTTP Header Auth credential (Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>).

• Output: An HTML weekly review digest delivered by Gmail.
